Decanting: let your wine breathe
Decanting is the process of slow pouring of wine from the bottle into a decanter. It is done to achieve two purposes. To aerate the wine, which brings out the aroma and taste, and to prevent the sediments from reaching the glass. Red wines with a high number of tannins need decanting. Thirty minutes of decanting are suggested for one year of aging for most wines. However, some varieties may require a longer time.

Like wine variety, wine glasses also come in several different shapes and sizes. Even the wide varieties of red and white wines glasses have several subtypes. Each glass is designated for a particular wine type. We have flute for champagne and sparkling wine; a coupe for vintage champagne rose for the light red variety.
